About Rugby Rush

Rugby Rush takes the rules of rugby, keeps the ones that matter and turns the rest into a runner. You carry the ball up the pitch through waves of defenders; when one is about to bring you down, you pass sideways to a teammate and keep going. There is no scrum and no offside, just running lines, timing and the try line at the end.

The pace picks up quickly and the tackle animations are properly satisfying. It is a good rugby game for people who have never watched rugby.

How to Play Rugby Rush

1. Start running with the ball.
2. Sidestep the tacklers coming at you.
3. Pass to a teammate on either side when a tackle is coming.
4. Cross the try line to score, then go again.

• Space, or a sideways tap on touch: pass to the nearest teammate.
• Touch: swipe to sidestep.

Tips and Tricks

• The pass is the dodge. A defender aimed at you cannot reach the teammate you pass to.
• Keep the ball in the middle of your line so you always have a pass both ways.
• Sidestep before the defender plants his feet; after that he can adjust.
• The boosts on the pitch are worth a slight detour, but not a run into a tackler.
