About Retro Bowl College

Retro Bowl College is New Star Games' college spin-off of Retro Bowl, released in 2024. The on-field game is the same drag-and-release passing you know, but the front office is built around a college program. There is no draft: you recruit prospects out of high school each off-season, and your best players leave after their eligibility runs out whether you like it or not.

That churn is the point. A roster is never finished, a great quarterback is three seasons of borrowed time, and the recruiting screen is where seasons are really won. Conference play, bowl games and a national championship give the season its shape.

How to Play Retro Bowl College

Pick a program. Smaller schools are harder to recruit for but are the more satisfying build.
Spend the off-season recruiting: prospects have star ratings, positions and an interest level in your school.
Play the season with the same controls as Retro Bowl: drag back to aim, release to throw.
Win your conference and the bowl games that follow to raise the program's prestige, which makes next year's recruiting easier.
